SUN, FUN, ACTION & MEMORIES
When the winter weather creeps up along most of the European shores and other places across the globe, the ability to get together and practice windsurfing in a structured way used to be a privilige reserved for the few. These days are over! In the never ending strive to push the broader level of our sport forward, along with the ease of travel, there has been no better time to make that winter escape and build up memories under the sun.
Over the years, hotspots have emerged as central points for where pro´s and amateurs alike visit for improving their skills and practicing with likeminded sailors with the Canary Islands being an ideal location amongst others, where you can set up base and push your level as far as you desire. Lanzarote with its smooth winter breeze and ideal climate has been a diamond in the rough for us in our search for a place which could provide us with a variety of sea and wind conditions mixed with surroundings which just as much motivate a great time as on-water action.
In 2017 and 2018, we have hosted the Slalom Pro Training camp on Lanzarote. In 2019, we carry on this spirit with the Lanzarote PRO-AM camp, which will allow pro´s and amateurs alike to be guided by one of the best and push it on the water while enjoying the experience at the same time. See you on the island of Lanzarote!

A NEW CONCEPT
Windsurfing remains one of the sports, which cant be learned by watching a tutorial. A master has to hand down the knowledge to you. You can practice as much as you want, but without the input of someone, you could be wasting your time regardless of your level!
Therefore, for the 2019 Lanzarote PRO-AM Camp, we will give you the opportunity of the same level of training as previous years, but we will be bringing in a coach with the skills to push
windsurfers of any level to new heights of performance. In a collaboration with world renowned Ross Williams of the UK with multiple world and European titles in the bank, we are assured the highest level of coaching available. Wether you´re a current or an upcoming star, or taking your first steps into higher level windsurfing and competing, this type of event will be just the right one for you. We bring this event, not only for helping you get to the next level, but just as much to mix windsurfers of different level to create just the right atmosphere for learning and development.
Mixed with a focus on the social aspect of windsurfing, the aim is to create an event where experiences on the water can be shared in a relaxed environment off the water, and that the fun factor of windsurfing stays at an all time high!
The Slalom Pro Training will go on just like the previous years, but this year, you will have the possibility of having one of the best allround windsurfers in the world by your side through our Pro-AM Camp to make sure you get things just right. You decide yourself how far you would like to take it!
With a great history in windsurfing and branded a multisports destination, the island of Lanzarote and specifically Costa Teguise offer all of the infrastructure needed for sporting events.
With its laid-back atmosphere and typical bright coloured buildings, there are nothing but good vibes and a welcoming feeling wether you are promenading along its oceanfront walkway or stopping by one of the local cafés and restaurants.
As Costa Teguise also is a popular tourist resort, you will always find just the right spot for you to hang out between your hours of training, not to mention its beautiful beaches which are welcoming throughout the whole year!
In terms of conditions, Costa Teguise has proven itself as a prime windsurfing destination offering conditions for wave sailing and free riding at the same time, and everything in between. Throughout the 1990´s this spot has hosted several world cup events within slalom and freestyle windsurfing.
We are once again putting this location on the map because of its diversity and range of conditions offered mixed with the infrastructure and motivating surroundings
Foiling is a great addition to windsurfing for those light wind days where you would usually not even think about going on the water. While being quite a unique sensation to be flying over the surface of the water, it does require, just as in windsurfing, the proper guidance and a safe start.
For 2019, we are also adding foiling to the schedule for the Lanzarote PRO-AM camp and the Slalom Pro Training, meaning we can focus on techniques, tuning and the right entry into this new part of the sport.
We will set the program based on the conditions and the level of the participants.
So pack your foil gear as well!
